With its wide tree-lined avenues, high Haussmann buildings, or more modern, central Lille covers a geographical area including multiple sites or attractive spots: General de Gaulle main quare, better known under the name Grand Place, the shopping streets rue de Bethune, the Rihour square with bustling cafes and Republic square. Most department stores are also present: Printemps, Fnac, Darty, Le furet du Nord (once europe’s largest bookstore), etc. Ideal for a shopping ride.
